Vying.io cloud desktops work on almost any modern device.
You don’t need powerful hardware — all the real processing happens on our servers.
Your device only needs to display the remote session and stay connected to the internet.
This page covers recommended and minimum requirements for the best experience.

1. Windows PCs (Recommended Method)
Minimum:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- 4 GB RAM
- Dual-core processor
- Stable internet connection
Recommended:
- Windows 10/11 Pro
- 8 GB RAM or more
- Wired connection if possible
- Latest Microsoft Remote Desktop update
Notes:
- Windows gives you the smoothest experience.
- Printer redirection works best on Windows.

2. macOS (MacBook / iMac / Mac Mini)
Minimum:
- macOS 12 Monterey or newer
- 4 GB RAM
- Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store
Recommended:
- macOS 13 Ventura or newer
- At least 8 GB RAM
- Updated RDP client
Notes:
- macOS supports multi-monitor mode.
- Printer forwarding depends on printer model.

Minimum:
- iOS/iPadOS 15 or newer
- Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App Store
Recommended:
- External keyboard for productivity
- A stable Wi-Fi connection
Notes:
- Touch mode works surprisingly well.
- You can use the cloud desktop on the go without issues.

- Microsoft Remote Desktop from Google Play
Recommended:
- Tablet for better usability
- Keyboard or mouse where possible

- Works great for quick tasks and mobile access.

Minimum:
- Remmina or Rdesktop installed
- 4 GB RAM
- Stable internet
Recommended:
- Modern distro with latest Remmina
- Wired network for best latency

6. Internet Requirements
Your internet connection is the most important part of the experience.
Minimum speed:
- 10 Mbps download
- 5 Mbps upload
Recommended speed:
- 30+ Mbps download
- 10+ Mbps upload
- Ping under 40–60 ms to our servers
For best performance use:
- Wired Ethernet
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi (not 2.4 GHz)
- Avoid mobile hotspots if possible

These are not required, but help a lot:
- External monitor
- Mouse + keyboard
- USB headphones or Bluetooth headset

To keep your data safe:
- Do not share your RDP/VPN credentials
- Keep your device updated
- Use antivirus if on Windows
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
