Desktop as a service

Overview

To access your Vying.io cloud desktop, you always connect in two steps:

  1. Connect to OpenVPN using the .ovpn file we provide
  2. Connect via Remote Desktop (RDP) to your private IP (ex: 192.168.x.x)

This ensures your connection is secure, encrypted, and isolated inside our internal network.

🟩

1. Download OpenVPN Connect

OpenVPN Connect is the official client we support on Windows.

Download it from here:

Install it normally (Next → Next → Finish).

No special steps required.

📥

2. Import Your .ovpn Configuration File

We provide you with a single, full .ovpn file that contains:

  • your VPN configuration
  • your certificates
  • your keys

To import it:

  1. Open OpenVPN Connect
  2. Click “File”“Import Profile”
  3. Select your .ovpn file
  4. Click Add
  5. When prompted, allow the app to create the secure tunnel

You will now see your VPN profile on the main screen.

🔌

3. Connect to OpenVPN

  1. Open OpenVPN Connect
  2. Press Connect next to your profile
  3. Wait for the status to turn “Connected”

You’re connected when:

  • The switch turns green
  • It shows Connected
  • A VPN icon appears in your system tray
  • You receive a private IP inside our network (192.168.x.x)

If you cannot connect, contact us on WhatsApp — usually it’s a simple fix.

🌐

4. Verify That You’re Inside the Secure Network

Once VPN is ON, your PC is part of the Vying.io secure network.

To verify:

  1. Press Windows + R
  2. Type cmd
  3. Type: ping 192.168.x.x

(Use the private IP we gave you for your desktop.)

If you get replies → everything is correct.

If you get “Request timed out” → contact support.
